Product Innovation, Process Optimization, and Global Expansion
The R&D department consistently focuses on enhancing products and materials to drive continuous progress. Current initiatives are directed toward innovating and improving production and testing processes within the plant.
Technological Innovation and Strategic Projects
Ongoing activities involve product redesign, technological innovation, and the optimization of industrialization processes.
Concurrently, two new projects are under development for strategic customers, aimed at strengthening corporate market positioning and generating new growth opportunities. Furthermore, various detail modifications are being implemented, driven by both customer requests and internal evaluations, to upgrade the existing product range.
A recent dedicated meeting also addressed the pallet mould to identify solutions for improving the current design.
Plastimark products innovations:
The design of a new handle basket for the sweden market. Additionally, an ergonomic handle for the Duka and Twiga lines, along with a new Twiga-Duka frame, are currently under development.
Global Production and Mould Upgrades:
Significant structural and production advancements are being executed across global facilities
• The production of ECS Trays and Dividers will be relocated from China to Mexico to establish local manufacturing capabilities.
• An innovative technical solution has been introduced for tray moulds, enabling version changes across Jumbo, Standard, and Jumbo 2.0 formats.
• To strengthen manufacturing operations in the USA, new 6-figure Standard and Jumbo moulds are currently being shipped.
• In Italy, a new Pallet mould has been officially launched, replacing the version currently in production.
