Plastimark continues to expand its market presence. New projects and strategic collaborations, along with participation in key trade fairs, support growth across Italy, Europe, the Middle East, and France. Customer interest and positive trends confirm significant development potential in all markets.
ITALY – Growth of local stores continues and new projects take shape
Plastimark Italy confirms the trend toward proximity stores and reports strong interest in Twiga and Maxityko. New projects are under development, alongside participation in key industry trade fairs.
The Plastimark Italy team confirms a consistent market trend: attention is shifting toward smaller-format proximity stores. In the past two months, Twiga and Maxityko products have been particularly in demand, showing significant growth in customer interest.
Among the projects currently under development, a new solution stands out: dedicated dog trolleys for shopping malls, designed to improve accessibility and enhance the customer experience within retail spaces.
At the same time, Plastimark Italy has confirmed its participation, this year as visitors, in major industry fairs such as Host, Ecomondo, and Refrigera, further strengthening brand visibility on the market.
BU Europe – focus on brand awareness and business development
Business development and emerging market interest in Northern Europe, Germany and Spain
The Europe Business Unit continues its commercial development activities with positive results in Northern Europe, Germany and Spain. Customer interest is particularly strong for the Pleasy trolley and the Furbo basket system, appreciated for their design, functionality, and flexibility of use.
Over the past few months, new relationships have been established with potential commercial partners, with the goal of expanding brand presence in key European countries. Business development activities continue with a targeted focus on local needs and on adapting products to different store formats.
The positive trend and growing recognition of Plastimark products confirm the strong development potential of the Europe Business Unit in the coming months.
BU MENA – Rising demand and new opportunities in the Middle Eastern market
The MENA market is showing increasing interest in full-plastic and hybrid trolleys, with new projects and evolving commercial partnerships.
The MENA Business Unit is seeing a positive trend for full-plastic trolleys, especially the Pleasy, Roomy, and Slimmer models, as well as for the Hybrid Super and Hybrid Maxi versions, which are increasingly requested in the local market.
One of the most relevant updates is the new collaboration with a retail chain in Saudi Arabia (Deal Market), for which an order was recently signed. Customer interest also extends to hybrid trolleys, the Tyko basket, and the baby trolley, confirming the demand for versatile solutions with innovative design.
A critical perception persists regarding quality compared to Wanzl trolleys, which the team is addressing through targeted communication actions and by highlighting Plastimark’s strengths.
The team also plans to attend Euroshop Middle East as visitors, with the aim of evaluating a future exhibitor presence and expanding business opportunities in the region.
Overall, the trend confirms strong growth potential for Plastimark in the Middle Eastern market.
BU France: strategies and projects in the retail sector
In France, the shopping trolley market shows contrasting trends between hypermarkets and proximity stores. The French branch continues to oversee the development of new activities.
The French subsidiary reports diverging trends: while hypermarkets, currently facing economic challenges, prefer metal trolleys, supermarkets and proximity stores are choosing plastic or hybrid solutions.
The overall situation remains complex, but the team continues to work actively and signals some promising opportunities. Current requests include the development of baskets for “click & collect” services and plastic boxes, although no project has been finalised yet.
Pricing remains the main decision factor for customers, while issues with the Plastimark coin deposit system continue to be reported.
On 15-16 October, an event was held with BUREAU VALLÉE, a new client of the subsidiary. The event proved to be an important opportunity for commercial engagement and development.
