Projects in progress: new moulds and certifications

Development and certification activities continue within Giordano Holding, with important news reported by technical managers.

Giuseppe Zambitto updates on the progress of the moulds:

• The mould for the 130-litre Plastimark shopping trolley is under construction.
• A new series of moulds for the cage for partridges is being made in China.
• The moulds for the RIPET project are in the final stages.
• The Piedmont side mould for the Mexican market is ready and in shipment.
• The moulds for the new Mexican Hurakan cage have been transferred to the Querétaro production site and are ready for production.

On the normative and materials front, Nicola Botasso reports:

• The obtaining of certification for Plastimark shopping baskets and the updating of existing certificates with the addition of new types of wheels, in compliance with the European product safety regulation.
• The introduction of a new material made from Tetrapak, AluNova, which opens up interesting perspectives in terms of sustainability. A collaboration that could give the company a lot of visibility.
