For the fourth consecutive year, Giordano Holding presents its Sustainability Report, prepared in accordance with the Voluntary Standards for non-listed SMEs (VSME) and aligned with the principles of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
A document that tells the story of the π°πΌπ»π°πΏπ²ππ² π°πΌπΊπΊπΆππΊπ²π»π of an industrial group deeply rooted in Piedmont yet with a global vision, able to combine innovation, responsibility, and sustainable growth.
Some highlights from 2024:
βͺοΈ Energy efficiency: 49% of total energy needs covered by self-produced biomass energy, leading to a 20.3% reduction in energy purchased from the grid.
βͺοΈ GHG emissions: -14.8% decrease in GHG intensity compared to 2023.
βͺοΈ Waste management: over 96% of waste recovered, in line with circular economy principles.
βͺοΈ People development: 99% permanent contracts and 1,522 hours of training delivered.
βͺοΈ Local supply chain: 83% of suppliers based in Italy, including 34% in the Cuneo area.
A structured reporting process that confirms how, for Giordano Poultry Plast – the HQ of the Giordano Global – sustainability is not a long-term goal but a daily practice guiding every business decision from energy management to employee training, product innovation to community engagement.
